DeLeon and Wilson finish 1-2 in 400m at World U20 Championships

At the World U20 Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon on August 7, Jayden DeLeon and Quincy Wilson secured the top two spots in the men's 400 meters. DeLeon set a championship record with a time of 44.47 seconds, becoming the first American man to win this event since 2008. Wilson followed closely behind in 44.62 seconds, both athletes advancing past Leendert Koekemoer of South Africa in the final stretch. The championships will continue with finals in the men's and women's 200 meters scheduled for later today, including American competitors Tate Taylor and Mia Maxwell.
