Dennis Allen cites Kentavius Street as the top Bears defensive lineman

Chicago Bears defensive coordinator Dennis Allen named Kentavius Street the most effective defensive tackle throughout training camp this summer. Although Street arrived as a journeyman signed to a one-year deal, Allen noted that his suddenness and ability to penetrate the line of scrimmage set him apart during team sessions. The coaching staff plans to rely on Street’s explosiveness to disrupt opposing offenses as part of their aggressive defensive approach. This role shift comes following the departure of Gervon Dexter III to Atlanta. While Street’s previous career statistics have been limited due to his reserve status, Allen expects him to contribute significantly more than his background suggests. The coaching staff, including Jeremy Garrett, Bill Johnson, and Zach Cable, worked closely with Street to integrate him into the defensive system throughout the preseason.
