Denver Broncos trim roster to 53 players following 38 personnel moves

General manager George Paton and head coach Sean Payton finalized the Denver Broncos roster this weekend by executing 38 transactions. The club released 34 players and placed three additional members on injury-related lists to reach the league-mandated 53-man squad limit. Among the changes, offensive lineman Nick Gargiulo moved to the reserve/PUP list, while tight end Caleb Lohner and offensive tackle Frank Crum were placed on short-term injured reserve. Additionally, outside linebacker Jonathon Cooper was moved to the commissioner's exempt list. The team now turns its attention to the waiver wire for potential roster additions. Following the processing of waiver claims, the organization plans to establish a 17-player practice squad to complete its personnel requirements for the season.
