Denver Broncos waive wide receiver Kolbe Katsis after preseason performance

The Denver Broncos waived undrafted wide receiver Kolbe Katsis on August 30, 2026. Signed out of Northern Arizona, the 24-year-old rookie gained attention for his performance on special teams throughout the summer. Katsis averaged 31.2 yards per kickoff return, ranking second in the NFL across the preseason with 187 yards on six returns. He additionally recorded three punt returns for 48 yards and one 15-yard reception during offensive opportunities. While the team currently relies on All-Pro returner Marvin Mims, the organization may look to re-sign Katsis to the practice squad to maintain depth for future special teams needs.
