Denzel Ward joins the ownership group of the Cleveland Guardians

Cleveland Browns cornerback Denzel Ward has officially become a minority investor in the Cleveland Guardians franchise. The Ohio native and former Ohio State standout joins a diverse ownership group that includes Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, who acquired his minority stake in May. Ward, who recently signed a contract extension keeping him with the Browns through 2029, credited the Dolan family and David Blitzer for the opportunity to invest in his hometown team. The franchise plans to hold an official recognition ceremony for Ward at Progressive Field on September 15 during a game against the Chicago White Sox. This investment continues his active role in the Cleveland community, which includes his charitable work with the Make Them Know Your Name Foundation.
