San Francisco 49ers cornerback Deommodore Lenoir enters a pivotal 2026 season, highlighting concerns from Pro Football Focus regarding his performance. Lenoir finished the 2025 season with 61 tackles and two interceptions, his lowest tackle total as a starter. His overall performance raised red flags, especially with coverage and run defense. Despite additions to the defensive unit, Lenoir remains slated to start alongside three others. The 49ers, coming off a divisional round appearance, expect improved defensive play with key players returning and a new defensive coordinator in place.
- •Lenoir had 61 tackles and two interceptions in 2025.
- •He ranked 65th among qualified cornerbacks with a 60.7 overall grade.
- •San Francisco's defense finished 31st in success rate last season.
- •The 49ers added veterans Nate Hobbs and Jack Jones to the secondary.
- •Fred Warner, Nick Bosa, and Dre Greenlaw are expected back this season.
