Former NBA champion Derek Anderson spent the final two seasons of his 11-year career with the Charlotte Bobcats. After initially wearing number 23 during his first season with the franchise, he switched to number 1. Anderson appeared in 78 games for Charlotte during his two-year stint. He served as a backup guard, posting averages of 6.9 points, 2.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 0.8 steals per game. His career included an NBA championship with the Miami Heat before he joined the Bobcats. Across his entire 615-game NBA tenure, Anderson recorded career averages of 12 points, 3.4 assists, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.1 steals.
