Derrick White discusses NBA future with the Boston Celtics

Derrick White spoke on his future with the Boston Celtics amidst trade rumors related to his teammate Jaylen Brown. During an interview, White acknowledged the unpredictable nature of the NBA, emphasizing the importance of camaraderie in the locker room. Despite speculation, White is not a free agent soon; he signed a four-year, $118 million extension in 2024, which keeps him under contract through the 2027-28 season. His player option for 2028-29 could extend his stay further. While he values stability, rival teams are expected to show interest should the Celtics consider trading him, particularly if his shooting improves.
