Deshaun Watson interacts with fans before Browns’ preseason finale
Summary

Deshaun Watson engaged with young fans prior to the Cleveland Browns’ preseason game against the New England Patriots on August 27, 2026. This pregame interaction comes shortly after Watson faced criticism from fans following a lackluster performance against the Buffalo Bills. Although some fans praised his efforts to connect, others dismissed it as insincere. Watson previously expressed feeling disrespected by Cleveland's fans after being booed, but later sought to clarify his comments. He did not play in the preseason finale as the starters were rested, with focus shifting to backup players for evaluation. The Browns will enter the regular season with Watson confirmed as their starting quarterback.
