Désiré Doué and Bradley Barcola miss the 30-man Ballon d'Or nominee list

Paris Saint-Germain forward Désiré Doué and Liverpool winger Bradley Barcola have been omitted from the 30-player shortlist for the Ballon d'Or. Both players contributed to the Parisian club's second consecutive Champions League title during the 2025–26 season. Doué recorded 13 goals and 11 assists in 41 appearances, while Barcola tallied 13 goals and seven assists across 49 matches for the club. Internationally, both players were members of the French squad that advanced to the semi-finals of the recent World Cup, where each started four of eight matches. Barcola, who transferred to Liverpool this summer, scored three goals during the tournament. Despite their performance metrics at both club and international levels, neither player received a nomination for the award.
