Detroit Free Press Marathon seeks over 3,000 volunteers for 2026 event

The Detroit Free Press Marathon is looking for more than 3,000 volunteers for its races scheduled from October 16 to 18, 2026. The event, which marks its 49th year, includes sold-out marathons and half-marathons on Sunday, October 18. Volunteers will assist runners and staff with various tasks, including managing gear checks, supporting aid stations, and coordinating relay exchanges.
