Detroit Lions consider Will Levis following his release from Tennessee Titans

Summary

The Detroit Lions are evaluating quarterback options after the Tennessee Titans released Will Levis on Sunday. Detroit currently employs starter Jared Goff and recently waived rookie Luke Altmyer to the practice squad while maintaining veteran Joshua Dobbs on the roster. Levis started 21 games for the Tennessee Titans between 2023 and 2024, recording 3,899 passing yards with 21 touchdowns and 16 interceptions. The Lions have been searching for additional depth in the quarterback room since the preseason training camp. The team previously relied on Teddy Bridgewater for backup duties and mentorship, though his retirement left an opening in the rotation. Detroit management now reviews available talent to provide stability behind Goff for the upcoming season.
