Detroit Lions list Christian Izien as questionable for Sunday against New Orleans

The Detroit Lions released their final injury report ahead of Sunday’s season opener against the New Orleans Saints. Defensive back Christian Izien is the only player with a game-status designation, listed as questionable due to a groin injury. Izien remained limited in practice throughout the week. Conversely, rookie edge rusher Derrick Moore and defensive lineman Mekhi Wingo progressed to full participation on Friday after dealing with hamstring and groin injuries, respectively. Other players including Keith Abney II, Thomas Harper, Trevor Nowaske, Ennis Rakestraw Jr., and Jimmy Rolder also finished the week as full participants. The Lions will confirm Izien’s official status when the team releases its inactive list on Sunday.
