The team kept five running backs and four wide receivers while choosing Jackson Meeks over veteran Tyler Conklin at the tight end position. Josh Dobbs earned the backup quarterback spot after his performance in the preseason finale against the Indianapolis Colts. Several players will begin the season on injured lists, including Brian Branch and Kerby Joseph, who are both placed on the Reserve/PUP list.
