The Detroit Lions signed cornerback Eric Scott Jr., previously with the Dallas Cowboys and Kansas City Chiefs, as they prepare for their preseason finale against the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday. At 6 feet and 197 pounds, Scott was drafted in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft but has yet to make his NFL debut. He was waived by the Cowboys and later spent time on the Chiefs' practice squad, but injuries have limited his playing time. With the signing, the Lions placed EDGE Payton Turner on injured reserve for the season.
