Detroit Red Wings consider trade package with San Jose for Simon Edvinsson

Simon Edvinsson remains unsigned with the Detroit Red Wings and has until December 1 to finalize his contract or miss the season. While longer-term offers have been made, trade discussions persist, particularly with the San Jose Sharks identified as a potential destination. The Sharks could leverage their wealth of draft picks and young talent to acquire the 23-year-old defenseman. Proposed trade assets for Edvinsson include a first-round pick in 2027, a fourth-round pick in 2027, and a second-round pick in 2028, alongside prospects like Keaton Verhoeff or Ryan Lin and center Cole McKinney. With teams interested in Edvinsson climbing, the Red Wings aim to secure significant returns.
