As the Detroit Red Wings prepare for the 2026-27 season, they spotlight goaltender Manny Legace as the top player to wear jersey No. 34. Legace, a key contributor during his tenure, holds the ninth-most victories in franchise history with 112 wins and was part of the 2001-02 Stanley Cup-winning team. Although he began his NHL career elsewhere, Legace gained recognition in Detroit, especially during the 2000-01 season when he earned a starting role due to strong performances.
