Detroit Tigers place Riley Greene on 10-day injured list with hamstring strain

The Detroit Tigers have placed All-Star left fielder Riley Greene on the 10-day injured list due to a right hamstring strain. Greene sustained the injury rounding the bases after an RBI double while facing the Cleveland Guardians on August 12. After reporting tightness to trainers, he was immediately evaluated and removed from the game. To fill his spot, the Tigers called up outfielder Corey Julks from Triple-A Toledo. Greene has played 117 of the Tigers' 119 games this season, contributing significantly to their lineup. Manager A.J. Hinch indicated that Greene's condition will receive further evaluation from medical professionals.
