DeVonta Smith drops to No. 20 among highest-paid NFL wide receivers
Summary

Zay Flowers’ recent four-year, $140 million extension with the Baltimore Ravens has pushed Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith to No. 20 in average salary among NFL receivers, with an average of $25 million. Smith was previously signed to a three-year, $75 million extension in April 2024, which now falls short compared to newer contracts. While Smith maintains significant value as the Eagles' top receiver, his market position has changed amid evolving salary trends in the league. The Eagles are not under pressure to renegotiate his deal, which runs through the 2028 season, but future performance could increase his market value during subsequent negotiations.
