Dexter Lawrence steps into leadership role with Bengals defense

Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence II has quickly become a leader since being acquired from the New York Giants over two months ago. During a media session on June 16, Lawrence expressed his enthusiasm for mentoring younger players on the team, emphasizing his commitment to sharing his knowledge and helping others succeed. His integration into the Bengals' defense alongside coach Jerry Montgomery has been positive, as both aim for a successful season. Lawrence, who had a lower performance grade in 2025, is expected to regain his elite form and become a key player for Cincinnati as they prepare for the upcoming season.
