DJ Pickett is poised to step into a key role for LSU in the upcoming college football seasons, following the departure of Mansoor Delane. At 6-foot-4, Pickett combines size with impressive performance, allowing few receptions and making three interceptions last season. His tackling ability and potential for improvement position him as a significant factor in LSU's defensive strategy under Blake Baker. The team looks to capitalize on Pickett's skills after losing a top talent in Delane, who was drafted into the NFL.
- •DJ Pickett recorded 21 receptions allowed, 3 touchdowns, and 248 yards given up last season.
- •He finished last season with three interceptions, one more than Mansoor Delane.
- •Pickett's height and skill set are critical against smaller, faster receivers.
- •He is also capable of contributing as a blitzer in LSU's defense.
