DJ Waller joins Cardinals as projected cornerback starter

Summary

DJ Waller, a senior defensive back, transfers to the Cardinals from a rival program. Standing at 6'3" and weighing 210 pounds, Waller previously played with the Michigan Wolverines and is coming off a hamstring injury suffered in 2025. He is expected to play a crucial role in co-defensive lead Steve Ellis' aggressive defensive strategy. Waller's experience and physicality will help bolster the Cardinals' defensive scheme, with hopes of integrating him into blitz packages to increase pressure on opposing offenses. The Cardinals look to capitalize on Waller's ability as they approach the upcoming season.
