DJ Wood named Bronson Battle Creek Athlete of the Week

DJ Wood of the Harper Creek boys track team has been recognized as the Bronson Battle Creek Athlete of the Week following a fan poll victory, securing 69 percent of the votes. Wood made history by winning back-to-back state titles in the 110-meter hurdles at the Michigan High School Athletic Association Division 2 state track championships. He finished this year's event with a time of 14.20 seconds. Harper Creek coach Larry Quick praised Wood’s unique achievement and his resilience despite nursing an injury in recent weeks. The recognition highlights Wood's significant contributions to his school's track program, and he will be featured in the Enquirer’s Athlete of the Week spotlight.
