DK Metcalf falls out of NFL’s top-five highest-paid wide receivers

Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf has dropped to sixth place among the NFL's highest-paid wideouts after Drake London signed a four-year, $141 million extension with the Atlanta Falcons. London's new contract, valued at an average of $35.25 million per year, surpasses Metcalf’s $33 million annual salary. Metcalf, traded to Pittsburgh in March 2025, had a productive debut season, recording 850 receiving yards and six touchdowns. The Steelers also secured edge rusher Nick Herbig with a new four-year, $100 million deal. The current top-five highest-paid wide receivers now include Jaxson Smith-Njigba, Ja'Marr Chase, Drake London, Justin Jefferson, and CeeDee Lamb.
