Dodgers acquire All-Star Kris Bubic from Royals at trade deadline

Summary

The Los Angeles Dodgers traded for All-Star left-hander Kris Bubic from the Kansas City Royals on August 3, 2026. In the deal, the Dodgers sent right-hander Carlos Duran to the Royals, which helps manage their 40-man roster. Bubic, who has struggled with injuries this season, last pitched in May 2026, has a 4.11 ERA over nine starts this year. His addition provides depth to the Dodgers' rotation, currently affected by injuries to several key pitchers including Blake Snell, Shohei Ohtani, and Tyler Glasnow.
