Dodgers acquire catcher Hunter Feduccia ahead of trade deadline

The Los Angeles Dodgers have reacquired catcher Hunter Feduccia from the Tampa Bay Rays shortly before the 3 p.m. PT trade deadline on Monday. The move follows injuries to starting catcher Will Smith and backup Dalton Rushing. Smith has struggled with an inflamed disc and Rushing has been placed on the injured list due to arm irritation. Earlier in the day, the Dodgers also added Ben Rortvedt from the New York Mets' minor league system, further bolstering the catching position as they prepare for potential playoff contention.
