Dodgers acquire Tarik Skubal as MLB trade deadline approaches
Summary

The Los Angeles Dodgers have acquired Tarik Skubal from the Detroit Tigers in a significant trade ahead of the MLB trade deadline. Skubal, a two-time American League Cy Young Award winner, has become the top pitcher to be traded this season. With Skubal off the market, teams like the Atlanta Braves, Philadelphia Phillies, and Chicago Cubs are now exploring alternative pitchers to strengthen their rotations. Candidates include Kevin Gausman of the Toronto Blue Jays, Robbie Ray of the San Francisco Giants, and Freddy Peralta of the New York Mets, each known for their postseason capabilities. As the deadline approaches, interest in these remaining pitchers is expected to surge.
