Dodgers activate Edwin Díaz from IL ahead of second half

The Los Angeles Dodgers have activated Edwin Díaz from the 60-day injured list as of July 30, marking his return from elbow surgery performed on April 22. Díaz, who has not pitched since April 19, was recovering from a condition involving loose bodies in his right elbow. He recorded a 10.50 ERA this season before his surgery. Following successful rehab outings, during which he allowed only two runs in 5.2 innings, the Dodgers are hopeful that Díaz can reclaim his role as a key asset in their bullpen.
