Dodgers activate Kris Bubic, designate Ryan Ward for assignment

The Los Angeles Dodgers activated left-hander Kris Bubic from his minor league rehabilitation assignment on September 16. In a corresponding roster move, the team designated first baseman/outfielder Ryan Ward for assignment. Ward, the 2025 Pacific Coast League MVP, struggled this season, slashing.248/.349/.429 in Triple-A. His performance declined compared to last year, which contributed to his redundancy in an outfield crowded with prospects. Bubic, acquired from the Kansas City Royals on August 3, joins the roster after posting impressive numbers in Triple-A, where he recorded 5.2 scoreless innings with nine strikeouts.
