Dodgers activate Seth Halvorsen before Royals series opener

The Los Angeles Dodgers are set to activate Seth Halvorsen, a former closer acquired from the Colorado Rockies, before their game against the Kansas City Royals on August 10. Halvorsen, who was on the injured list prior to the trade, made a successful rehab appearance in Triple-A, not allowing any runs across 6.1 innings. The 26-year-old will join a Dodgers bullpen currently challenged by injuries and inefficiency, missing closer Edwin Diaz for a significant part of the season. Halvorsen's capability to throw a fastball reaching 102 mph adds depth to a struggling relief corps.
