Dodgers' Edwin Diaz MRI reveals no serious damage, stays on injured list
Summary

Los Angeles Dodgers closer Edwin Diaz underwent an MRI on Wednesday in Los Angeles while the team faced the Rockies in Colorado. The MRI showed only mild neck inflammation, a positive outcome after Diaz struggled recently, including giving up three runs in his last outing. He has been placed on the injured list for at least two weeks to rest and rework his mechanics. Manager Dave Roberts noted the prognosis is encouraging, indicating that Diaz's issues may stem from wear rather than structural damage. Following a brief hiatus, the team plans to reassess Diaz's condition over the coming days as he aims to regain his sharpness for the postseason.
