The Los Angeles Dodgers have optioned pitcher Emmet Sheehan to Triple-A Oklahoma City following the acquisition of Tarik Skubal from the Detroit Tigers. This decision was made after Sheehan's struggle in a recent outing where he allowed five earned runs in just 2 2/3 innings against the Boston Red Sox. Manager Dave Roberts indicated that the move aims to help Sheehan reset his performance. Sheehan’s ERA has risen to 5.29 this season, his worst since joining the Dodgers as a starter. Skubal is expected to make his Dodgers debut against the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday, solidifying a rotation that includes several All-Star players and potential returns from injuries.
