Dodgers pitcher Justin Wrobleski prepares for relief role upon injury return

Los Angeles Dodgers left-hander Justin Wrobleski will return from the injured list as a bullpen arm rather than a starting pitcher. Wrobleski had been sidelined since August 16 with forearm tightness following his final start against the Milwaukee Brewers. After a productive first half of the season, the pitcher struggled in his subsequent five starts, posting a 6.92 ERA. He recently completed a rehab start for Triple-A Oklahoma City where he pitched 1.1 innings and allowed one earned run. With a crowded Dodgers rotation featuring Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Tarik Skubal, Blake Snell, Tyler Glasnow, and Roki Sasaki, Wrobleski will provide depth as a long relief option. The team expects him to rejoin the major league roster shortly.
