Dodgers pursue Tarik Skubal as Angels plan to trade prospects

Summary

As the MLB trade deadline approaches on August 3, the Los Angeles Dodgers are aggressively pursuing pitcher Tarik Skubal, aiming for a third straight World Series title. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Angels are signaling a rebuild, open to trading players including Jo Adell and Reid Detmers. The Angels have a goal to end their 11-year stretch without a winning record, while the Dodgers look to enhance their rotation, particularly in light of Shohei Ohtani's ongoing injury. The Dodgers have a strong history of trades at the deadline, while the Angels have been less active in past years.
