Dodgers scratch prospects from lineup amid Tarik Skubal trade talks

Summary

The Los Angeles Dodgers removed Zyhir Hope and Kendall George from their lineup for Double-A Tulsa's game on August 2, 2026, as speculation grows surrounding a potential trade for Detroit Tigers pitcher Tarik Skubal. Their removal from the game comes less than 48 hours before the MLB Trade Deadline, and the Dodgers are seen as the team most likely to acquire Skubal. Hope has been specifically linked to trade discussions. Meanwhile, the Dodgers' strong prospect depth could facilitate the trade, allowing them to part with outfield talent without significantly impacting their future.
