Dodgers seek new hitting coach following Aaron Bates departure

The Los Angeles Dodgers are looking for a new hitting coach after Aaron Bates's departure. The decision follows an inability to agree on a new contract, despite the team's initial expectations to maintain the current coaching staff. Robert Van Scoyoc remains in place as a hitting coach, while internal candidates include JT Watkins, Dylan Nasiatka, and Blake Gailen, known for their success in player development. External options could involve Eric Thesien from the Milwaukee Brewers or former Dodger Justin Turner. Internal hires are likely, reflecting the Dodgers' historical preference.
