Dolphins claim rookie tight end Jeremiah Franklin from Patriots

The Miami Dolphins have claimed rookie tight end Jeremiah Franklin off waivers from the New England Patriots. In a corresponding move, the Dolphins waived edge rusher Seth Coleman-Lyles. Franklin went undrafted out of Boston College and joined the Patriots two weeks ago before being waived. The Dolphins now have six tight ends on their roster as they prepare for their first preseason game against the Washington Commanders on August 14. Presumptive starter Greg Dulcich returned to practice but is currently wearing a no-contact jersey due to an undisclosed injury.
