Dolphins elevate Clelin Ferrell from practice squad for Week 1 matchup

The Miami Dolphins have elevated EDGE Clelin Ferrell from their practice squad for the season opener against the Las Vegas Raiders. Ferrell, the fourth overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, spent four seasons with the Raiders before continuing his career with the San Francisco 49ers, Washington Commanders, and Los Angeles Chargers. After joining the Miami Dolphins during the offseason, he was released during final roster cuts and subsequently signed to the practice squad. The eighth-year professional has appeared in 98 career games, recording 21 combined sacks. He is set to participate in Sunday’s contest at the venue where he played his first three professional seasons.
