The Miami Dolphins announced the release of cornerback Nick McCloud just hours before their preseason matchup against the New York Giants on August 22 at Hard Rock Stadium. McCloud, who had joined the Dolphins earlier this month, recorded one tackle in last week's game against the Commanders. This roster move comes as the Dolphins prepare to compete with several players at the cornerback position, as Storm Duck and Darrell Baker Jr. are currently on PUP and JuJu Brents is recovering from an injury. The Dolphins will now move forward with Chris Johnson, Jason Marshall Jr., and others as they enter this preseason game.
