Dolphins release eight players, including WR Theo Wease Jr

The Miami Dolphins have made eight roster moves as they work to finalize their squad for the upcoming NFL season. Among those released are cornerback Alex Austin, offensive lineman Kevin Cline, tight end Ethan Conner, linebacker Stephen Dix Jr., and wide receiver Theo Wease Jr., Wease caught six passes for 139 yards and a touchdown as a rookie in 2025. Following the 2026 NFL Draft, where the Dolphins selected three wide receivers, Wease's chances of remaining on the roster appeared slim. The team continues to finalize its roster ahead of the regular season.
