Dominik Mysterio advances past Bron Breakker and Trick Williams in King of the Ring

The main event of tonight’s (June 5) episode of SmackDown was a 4-way match in the opening round of the King of the Ring tournament between Damian Priest, Trick Williams, Bron Breakker, and Dominik Mysterio. On paper, Bron or Trick looked like the favorites to win this match based on their recent positioning on Raw and SmackDown, respectively, but that’s not how things actually played out. You see, there are no disqualifications in a 4-way match, and nobody had an answer for the numbers game of the Judgment Day. Late in the bout, Bron went high risk with a flying clothesline on Trick Williams through a table outside the ring. Damian tried to finish Dirty Dom off inside the ring, but JD McDonagh flew in with an attack. Priest took him out, but then fell victim to a low blow from Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan. That’s all the help Dom needed to hit a 619 and frog splash on Priest for the three count.
