- 1:00 AMCageside Seats — Dirty Dom says Brock Lesnar really kicked his ass on Raw, and Rey Mysterio was in on it
"Do you remember back in 2019 on Raw when Brock Lesnar snatched Dominik Mysterio out of the crowd and beat the utter living shit out of him and his father Rey at the same time? If not, here is WWE’s video to refresh your memory. This angle took place almost one full year before Dominik wrestled his first match in WWE. On the latest episode of Undertaker’s Six Feet Under podcast, Dirty Dom said his deadbeat dad Rey told him to sit there and wait for an ass-kicking, but didn’t reveal the identity of the ass-kicker. The younger Mysterio admitted it was a “pucker” moment when he saw Brock make his way down to the ring. “I was 21 [years old]…My dad, not being a good dad, leading up to that, he was like, you’re gonna get your ass beat. And I was like, oh cool, by who? He’s like, I’m not gonna tell you until I’m cutting my promo out there. And I was like, okay, fine. Sure, whatever. And then sure enough, my dad goes out, and then Brock’s music hits. …[he] ragdolled me, and then hit me in the post, and then bodyslammed me on the ground. Yeah, I believe it was all a slow initiation.” Brock did all the physical work in the angle, with no assistance from Dom. He was just there to take a beating, and it hurt like hell. “I was terrified…I was told to sit down, and then he would do the rest. And he clearly does. …it was all him. What need do I have of helping him?…This was all real pain.” Brock also beat the hell out of Rey Mysterio, who crawled over to cover his son’s body multiple times. Dirty Dom said his shitty father deserved it for putting him in that kind of situation to begin with. “He deserves that. I should have been home [or in school]…Absolutely, I should have been out trying to get a job. He has me out here, just, hey come to my show.” Does Dirty Dom’s story convince you (even more) that he’s been right all along about Rey being such a terrible father? Let me know your reaction to Dominik’s painful WWE initiation at Brock Lesnar’s hands in the comments below, Cagesiders.
