Don Mattingly hints at Kyle Schwarber's Home Run Derby plans in leak

Summary

Don Mattingly, interim manager of the Phillies, appeared to suggest that Kyle Schwarber will participate in the 2026 MLB Home Run Derby set for July 13 at Citizens Bank Park. Following a game against the Cincinnati Reds, Mattingly noted his excitement about Schwarber joining Bryce Harper in the event but later backtracked, indicating he was uncertain about Schwarber's decision. Schwarber, who has 32 home runs this season, mentioned he would consider participating if his sore lower back allows.
