Donovan Jones named to 2026 Allstate Wuerffel Trophy Watch List

Nebraska defensive back Donovan Jones has been named to the 2026 Allstate Wuerffel Trophy Watch List, recognizing his excellence in academics, athletics, and community service. Entering his redshirt sophomore year, Jones played in all 13 games last season, including 11 starts, totaling 59 tackles and five pass breakups. He is the fourth Nebraska player to earn a spot on a watch list this year, joining Jacory Barney, Justin Evans, and Anthony Colandrea. In September, 11 student-athletes will be selected for the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team and will become semifinalists for the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy. The winner will be announced during The Home Depot College Football Awards show in December.
