Draft analysts project Florida running back Jadan Baugh to the 49ers

Summary

Ryan Wilson of CBS Sports projects the San Francisco 49ers will select Florida running back Jadan Baugh with the 16th overall pick in the 2027 NFL Draft. Wilson describes Baugh as a player similar in style to former All-Pro running back Le’Veon Bell, suggesting he would fit effectively into the offense led by head coach Kyle Shanahan. Baugh enters this cycle after recording 1,170 rushing yards during the 2025 season and opening his current campaign with 160 yards and three touchdowns against the Florida Atlantic Owls. While analysts highlight Baugh’s vision and workload capacity, some evaluations point to a potential lack of elite burst or long speed. The addition of a prospect like Baugh could provide the 49ers with a long-term alternative to Christian McCaffrey as he enters his age-30 season.
