Drake London signs record extension with Falcons impacting Chris Olave's future

Drake London received a contract extension with the Atlanta Falcons worth up to $150 million, $100 million guaranteed. The deal may influence the New Orleans Saints' Chris Olave, who is also expected to seek a substantial contract. London's extension averages $35.25 million per year, placing him among the top wide receivers financially. Despite having played more games, Olave's per-game receiving statistics are slightly better than London's. The Saints possess about $48.95 million in salary cap space for 2027, which could accommodate Olave's extension, especially with past roster changes easing their salary commitments.
