Drake Maye and New England Patriots prepare for season opener against Seattle Seahawks

The New England Patriots travel to Seattle to face the Seahawks in their season opener on Wednesday, Sept. 9. This contest marks the first meeting between the two teams since Seattle defeated New England 29-13 in Super Bowl LX last February. Quarterback Drake Maye expressed that he views the upcoming game as an opportunity for the team to start the season strong rather than a chance for revenge. Maye finished his previous season as a runner-up in MVP voting after leading the Patriots to a 14-3 record. New England bolstered its offensive roster during the offseason by adding A.J. Brown, Romeo Doubs, and Alijah Vera-Tucker to provide additional support for the quarterback. The matchup serves as the team's first opportunity to demonstrate progress following the conclusion of their previous season.
