New England Patriots outside linebacker Dre'Mont Jones posted an image on Instagram following his team's 13-10 Week 1 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. The post featured an in-game photograph of Jones tackling Seattle quarterback Sam Darnold and included a tag for an account with an inflammatory username regarding his former team. Jones played for the Seattle organization from 2023 through 2024 before moving to New England. While the Patriots' defense limited Seattle and forced Darnold out of the game with a hip injury, the offense struggled during the second half. Wide receiver AJ Brown sustained a high-ankle sprain in the contest and faces a recovery window of three to six weeks. The 0-1 Patriots now head into a mini-bye before their next game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
