Drew Allar impresses at Steelers training camp as QB prospect

Summary

Drew Allar is generating attention at Pittsburgh Steelers training camp after being selected in the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft. While his time at Penn State was marked by inconsistency, Allar has shown improvement in his throwing mechanics and has delivered impressive passes in camp. Steelers are focused on developing him as a long-term solution at quarterback, though he is unlikely to start this season behind veteran Aaron Rodgers. Initial practice performances suggest he may thrive in this environment, previously having the potential stymied by his college struggles.
