The Carmel, Indiana-based team purchased a full-season charter from Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, pending approval from IndyCar. This marks DRR's first full-time season since 2012 and their first race outside Indianapolis since 2013. The move follows the death of team founder Dennis Reinbold on June 13, with his son Derek now leading the team.
